Casting Update…
by Andy Tyrer on Jul.24, 2009, under Star Trek: The Continuing Mission
This week saw meetings and guest star casting calls for We will control all that you see and hear… More updates on that soon.
I also spent some time this week reviewing some of our older episodes… It’s important to ensure consistancy and that was the main reason for my review… Back to basics of episode 6.
On Saturday, we have another production meeting for scheduling and again will require some development time for episode 7. I have already contacted the editing team and they’re ‘good to go’ for an August start. Saturday also sees some content editing and updates on the website including the release of this blog and an official description for episode 6.
Discussing the Future…
by Andy Tyrer on Jul.20, 2009, under Star Trek: The Continuing Mission
Saturday and Sunday heralded more meetings with Sebastian Prooth with discussions regarding the script and storyline for episode 7 and also took a look at a ’work in progress’ of the artwork for We will Control all that you see and hear. In other updates, the recording of actors dialogue has been scheduled for week commencing August 3rd and finally several small music cues have also been composed to be included in the episode.
Stay tuned for more updates soon…
Interview & Another Meeting
by Sebastian Prooth on Jul.11, 2009, under Star Trek: The Continuing Mission
Just had a great meeting with Andy Tyrer on the subject of the season finale and our next episode “We will Control All You See and Hear” Because we are on such opposite sides of the clock our schedules afford us to meet online about once a week and update each other on what is happening. There are a few guest stars that we are pursuing for the next episode. We also discussed concept art for “We Will Control” – those things always have to be underway even before you start recording for an episode.
I was also interviewed for the special material section of the Star Trek: The Continuing Mission website. For about half an hour Andy and I talked about Continuing Mission and my past work which was fun. This show will be released in a few weeks.
Thanks for stopping by the blog.

Well, just came off our second prodution meeting this week, this time with Sebastian Prooth. Deadlines have been agreed for the casting of ‘guest roles’ for the episode. In addition the final release date for this episode has been confirmed. Concept ideas for artwork approved by all, design phase to begin shortly.
Scheduling for Episode 7 was discussed with a provisional release date of December 25th. Season 2’s opener is in the works and was also discussed. Will begin collaborating with David Raines shortly on this project.
Once again, full steam ahead…
A Late Night Production Meeting
by Andy Tyrer on Jul.03, 2009, under Star Trek: The Continuing Mission
Last night I held a production meeting with fellow Executive Producer Patrick McCray finishing up around 11pm discussing various topics regarding ‘We will control all that you see and hear’. One very very important aspect of producing audio dramas are the deadlines regarding production. During the conversation that took place we covered the casting of guest stars for the episode. Normally these are recorded outside the usual recording schedule that we set for our regular cast, so it’s all about communicating effectively with everyone involved to ensure that all are aware of their roles and target deadlines for the production.
Other items discussed included the show’s credits, concepts for artwork, the production of web content including interviews and episode ‘extras’. We also discussed writing assignments and episode 7 (The season finale) and future projects. I will be contacting David Raines once again to collaborate with him on developing our season 2 opener next year.
I have another meeting scheduled for tommorrow morning with Sebastian Prooth to discuss these item with him. Unfortunately schedules do clash as we work in three different time zones around the globe, however we make time and are committed to making it all work out…
Stay tuned for another update soon.
